Could you live in Europe?

I´d be fine in the USA I think... If I get to take visits back once a year or so.

Could you live in Europe?

We have higher quality clothing and less fatties. And far fewer people lift weights so you look bigger.

We have higher speed limits on the highways.

we have a better quality/price ratio on drinks, whores, medical care and internet connections.

We get fucked for gasoline, land ownership and tend to generally have higher income taxes...

The smallest cash bill we have is worth 6 dollars. Anything smaller we have coins.

I only know a few Americans who moved here. They´re from Florida and Missouri
well if i had to i'll move there. But i'll always choose the good ol' usa!

I could live there for at least a while; there's a lot I'd like to see. As for permanent residence, well, America would have to really go to shit as far as standards of living.

I'd probably rather live in parts of Europe. Americans are pretty stupid and hold too many prejudices.

I will reverse this question....

I have been living in the US for 2 months right now and will be living here for 8 more ... as an European the only thing I don't like about the US right now (I might have some more things in a few months :)) is the getting payed and pay things by cheque. The last time I saw someone wright a cheque in Europe must have been somewhere in the mid eighties ... it's to much of a hassle when you are used to receive money on your account ...and I think I could live in the US but I think I wouldn't want to live in the city I live in right now

i dont think ive ever seen cheques

I have to come back on statements in this thread after seeing an entire service by
Mr Joel Osteen and his wife Victoria.

They do some kind of cross between a church service and a motivation seminar every week in the Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas.

They are poor speakers who often don´t finish their sentences, repeat themselves and have no real knowledge of the bible or theology. When it comes in handy, they even imply pagan beliefs just because they are motivating in what they happen to be saying.
He has a (well kept but still) mullet and both speak with a thick southern accent. They´re not even schooled to do this.

All that is nothing new. We have idiots like this too, standing on streetcorners in sandwich-billboards. But this is a church, bigger than a sports stadium, which seats what looks to be 100 k people, every week, again and again, and the people are closing their eyes with their hands in the air listening to cheesy played out songs about Jesus.

Such cretins can be found wherever, but apparently the USA has a very significant density of them. While Osteen is the worst to date, The US has a history of succesful, stupid televangelists. This is so nerve wreckingly lame that I think I would run back to Europe within the month.

It´s even on this forum. somebody posts about something sad that happened to him and everybody goes "youll be in my prayers". Nobody says that. its rediculous. what are we, the fucking Care Bears now? Do you think it makes a difference? do you not see the big picture?

This is not an attack on Christianity, rather on the way it is practised in the USA. European Christians are like, normal people who happen to believe in a creator and the importance of the book the bible.
