Cottage Cheese

Just want to drop a note to say i love the board....I'm a new user and i have enjoyed reading the posts for the past few weeks.

Also Just wondering if anyone has any sujestions for making cottage cheese taste good. I would love to add this to my diet but just can't stomach it by itself.......anything to add would be great.
 
cottage cheese bloats the hell out of me....i'm into the myoplex low carb packet with water ice before bed
 
I can't stand that salty taste either. What I do is to add fruit to it along with some splenda and it tastes pretty good that way. If you don't want the fructose carbs from peaches or strawberries or whatever, just use splenda and natty PB or sugar free jam.
 
I cut up a small banana and throw it in with the cottage cheese.

I don't mind it plain though. And I'm on no special diet that doesn't allow bananas.
 
For a great P + F meal;

- cottage cheese
- crushed walnuts
- some protein powder

Mix in a bowl, and eat. :p

(I eat about 2lbs of cottage cheese a day. Awesome food.)

Curd cheese is much like cottage cheese. Here in NL it is common. Zero fats, low lactose and lots of casein, no additives. It is just $.50 per pound. Add a bit of stevia, and you have a good tasting substance.
 
Its very hard to me to get cottage cheese here in Europe... I live in Portugal and I have to drive to Spain to get cottage cheese. Would be too good if I can find the low sodium version :)
Ahhhh my favourite mix is cottage cheese with extra lean ground beef with onions :P
 
I also like cottage cheese and tuna. i think its great.
You can also microwave it and it goes a little gooey. not to everyones taste, but I like it.
 
I like it with some Mrs. Dash or some pepper. Or plain. I really dont like it sweet.

2lbs of cottage cheese? I eat 2 cups every evening and I really have to make sure I get my fiber or I will get a great ab workout trying to take a shit.

i just concucted and consumed for the first time one of the nicest meals ive had in ages

1x large wholemeal pita bread
lots of crispy lettuce
diced tomato
1x vege burger crumbled
big ass scoop of cc

lightly toast the pita so its warm but can still fold, and you can obviously add shitloads more vege's in, i was just lazy, but make sure you have lots of lettuce, gives it that nice satisfieing crunch! and for all you meat eaters out there, chicken, beef, whatever.
 
Throw some cottage cheese on your scrambled eggs when they're about 2/3 the way through bein cooked. when you eat 'em you'll swear its mozzarella.
