correct weigth lifting - book rec.?

Can anyone recommend a book that stresses proper weight lifting techniques. I do most of my workouts at home, without benefits of "gym buddies", and recently I have built up to some more serious weight where, I think, I can get hurt if I don't do the lifting properly (i.e. I just found out I did my dips way to deep). I know there are bits and pieces of information out there, but it would be nice to find it all in one place - so if you can recommend anything , please do

Thanks

I think that the problem was more of it being too fast (and bouncing) rather than deep - if I control them well the depth shouldn't matter

ok that makes more sense... i go deep as possible on mine... never had a problem...
i suppose if you 'dropped' your body rather than lowering it that could be an issue...
