First of all, I want to apologize. Honestly, I want to apologize. You are one of the nicest persons I have ever met. I do not mean to disrespect you in any way. I am sorry.

Barbell Curls - 10 sets of 3 reps(after good warmup)

abs to be doem whenever 3 times per week."

What reason do you have squats and flat bench press at the end of their respective workouts?

Is that to use everything else as a pre-exhaust?

Thanks

No problemo big guy.

Yes - the main mass builders are at the end as a pre -ex.

Switches things up, really thrashes their respective body parts.

I'm gonna call you Eclipse from now on.

I do apologize as well....lotta stress this week.

Like I said - I was NOt trying to be disrespectfull to you as well.

We should write out a program for the other to follow for like 6 weeks and compare notes...Game??

I have done something similar before. I would do dips before doing flat bench press. I did my dips wide with elbows out to put stress on the chest...3-4 sets of various weights and reps before doing flat bench press.

As a contest nears (most of them either have an incline or an overhead press as an event) I focus more on inclines instead of flat work. Most strongmen don't do flat work at all.

Not sure about following any other program than what I am on right now. I have a contest May 18th where I hope to finally win the 300lb class and the heavies. I am also working to turn pro either this year (near year end) or next year. The Westside routine along with my events have allowed me to come a long way in a short time. I am always open to advice though...honestly I am. You may not believe me...but I do look at what you suggest and think of where I can incorporate it into my program. I even did a high rep set of deadlifts a couple of weeks back (405 x 18).

I think that the two of us should get together and write a book personally.

Seriously - I DO understand why my or similar programs don't work for you.

I'm working on a more adcanced one that iincorporates sped training, chains, etc.

I DO think that those (your) programs would have probably worked for me when I was at a different stage in my lifting career. I also understand why strongman training will not make most people bigger.

What kind of thoughts are you thinking in your new program? Have you ever used the bands before? They put an entirely new meaning to force and speed when doing squats.

No bands yet. Have done chains and speed reps, along with standard stuff like floor presses etc.
