Corn chips really aren't that bad for you right, save the sodium?

Thanks ANthrax. SO the fact that the corn is all ground up makes it high GI huh?
yes !
and the less the fiber the higher the GI

ALso the less hydrogenated fats the better right?
Try, as much as possible to avoid :
hydrogenated oil
saturated oil
trans fats

Making your own chips with yams and olive oil is your best option

Unfortunately it is one of the worst food:

* bad fats (hydrogenated/trans)
* bad carbs (high GI refined carbs)
* no fiber, no vitamins, no minerals
* too much sodium

(but soooo good ;) )

All true. Don't fool yourself. They are junk food by every shape of the word, and should be limited to cheat days. As far as eating less transfatty acids? The lower the better, preferably your intake needs to be 0. Hydrogenated oils can actually interfear with gains in lbm, and slow down fat loss. Its more than just your health that is on the line. They can interfear with the absorbsion of some EFA's. Something that will definately reduce one's progress in developing a better physique.
