Core workouts?

Just curious if you guys have a day just for core workout. I.e. abs, spinal erectors, obliques. And if so, what exactly do you do on these days.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that, for the most part, we are not training the core with a "core" day.

Squats
Deads
Pulls

etc.....WITHOUT A BELT - keeps the core in shape.

I DO think its important, at least for ME, to hit some weighted standing cable crunches and weighted hypers and/or/ seated gms...to ensure that there are no strngth imbalances.

Nonbelted compound lifts, squats, pulls, overhead work (standing of course), and throw in some hanging knee/leg lifts or decline weighted situps, etc. I think it's important to throw weight at the abs directly although I dont' do it as often as I should.

sounds good. i never use a belt anyways. my core is really strong, just wasnt sure if i should train it by itself. thanks for the feedback guys.

i use alot of high and low cable chops and twisting to work my abs. not to many crunching workouts. i do reverse crunchs while keeping my back flat on the floor throughout the movement.

I just throw in 6-9 sets at the end of leg days. (Weighted R.Chair Sit-Ups, Band Crunches, BB Side Bends w/ weight on one side, Ab Wheel, whatever...)
