My real question would be:

Do they ask if I am STILL on AS (cause I'd Come off) - or do they ask if I have ever "taken" illegal drugs (IE AS)

They will typically ask both.

There is no such thing as a lie detector test. The effectiveness of the test is in it's ability to gain a confession by making the person in question confess to a crime because he/she believes that the retarded thing actually works. Interviewing Officer says after initial probe/questioning" Um, sir were finding some inconsistencies in your statement about your past drug use, is there anything else you'd likie to tell us" You say , "No Sir". The machine is nothing more than a very expensive bluff. The only somewhat effective "lie detector test" is kineseology, in which an individual's body language is pathologically analyzed while being asked questions. Effective for someone not used to being interviewed/interrogated, but for someone who knows the game it's an easy thing to pass as well. Monotone voice, and limited body movements for them all is my advice. Think of your chick naked when ever your asked a question. LOL

By the way, I'm a former other governemnt agency contractor {Iraq} who had to take a poly for a clearance. It's a joke.....

correct, I prefer to call it a stress test. If you stress out, that equals a lie.

bro i am pretty sure they wont test for aas....also if you fess up to anything....they will let ya go.....honesty is not the best policy in this case.....my buddy got let go for being honest in the beginning

no the agencies dont test for gear, but taking it into the academy is a felony and will result in much more than being kicked out, you will be charged....

Wrong! I had a fellow cop friend that was tested recently.. They do and they can. Just like they do randoms for everything else.. coke, pot, etc..

It's not "wrong" they "can" hell anybody can, most departments like other agencies "dont" unless suspicion exists as the tests cost much more than normal 7 panel screening they normally do.

Urban legend. Doesn't work. Supposed to make the system go crazy when you answer. You were supposed to poke yourself when you answered the question. A bunch of BS. It is very hard to beat the box.

I'm not worried about being "tested" for AAS

I'm just worried about the Lie detector - does "every" police department use one before admission?

I was asked personally by the Chief of Police (the Autobody Shop where i work fixes all the towns cruisers and I fixed his wife's BMW the other day - I'm new there)

He asked if i've ever considered being a Cop, and I said "sure I have" - and he said "cause I Love to have a guy of your size on my force"

He set up an interview this Monday with me just to fill me in on everything and he told me he wanted to get me over to the Academy ASAP.

Do chiefs have "pull" when it comes to the "results" of my polygraph?
Even if my ansewrs aren't typical, - if he REALLY wanted me, would he let it slide?
