"Cops suck dick.".....this kid was an idiot.

Cops have authority & police discretion. It isn't a good idea to piss off authority figures who can harm you at will unless you have a good getaway plan or know how to throw your voice.

if i were that doink that got arrested, i would collect witnesses including all of the people i was with, and CAS.

If he was being drunk and disorderly, the bouncer would notice as well. Cas just stated he did not notice.

What is or is not drunk or disorderly is the discretion of the cop at the time of the arrest, but the judges during trial.

Judges are normally far more fair. They actually believe in things like the bill of rights.

NOW... the tricky part is reclaiming the time you have lost during lockup and court appearances, much less the fees to your attorney. BUT, you have to be willing to fight for your rights. And, who knows, maybe you can point internal affairs.

Those cops are pussy assholes...

Hiding behind the badge....like good little scared children.

What would you expect from a career where having too high of an IQ could disqualify you from employment?

Has anybody ever stopped to wonder who is actually employed in the local police department? We are not talking summa cum laude here folks. You or I could likely do a much better job as a rookie than many cops do as veterans... yet they are the ones who can freely carry the guns. Nice.

I've never heard of being DQ'ed for being "too smart."

Do you have a link so I can check it out?

You can start here:

Now according to what I've read, Bob, the New London police only interview those who score between 20 and 27 and you got a 33, and that the average score nationally is a 21 to 22 with an IQ equivalent of 104 and your IQ is 125. What did you say to the New London police when they said, in essence, Bob, you're too smart?

http://www.cnn.com/LAW/greta.at.law/jordan.09.13/transcript.html

And here...

A man whose bid to become a police officer was rejected after he scored too high on an intelligence test has lost an appeal in his federal lawsuit against the city.

http://abcnews.go.com/sections/us/DailyNews/toosmart000908.html

Here's some more:

"The Justice Department's Civil Rights Division has been pressuring police forces across the country to abandon "cognitive" entrance exams [exams based upon mental ability, reasoning skills, and intelligence], which test for basic reading, writing, memory and reasoning skills. The Department argues that such tests are illegal because they exclude too many minorities from police ranks.

http://www.adversity.net/0_PoliceFireMuni/PFM_intro.htm

Did you know that: "The average score nationally for police officers is 21 to 22, the equivalent of an IQ of 104." Average - that means that half of the police force is likely below that... what's the standard deviation? I don't know... but I'll tell you this, if the standard deviation is greater than or equal to 4 that means that we have cops running around out there with two digit IQs - i.e. BELOW AVERAGE. What kind of jobs do people with below average IQs typically hold? Let's have a small quiz:

WHICH DOES NOT BELONG?
a) Burger flipping
b) Janitorial work
c) Grocery bagging
d) Police work

If you guessed (d), then you're correct... and probably too smart to be a cop!

KAYNE i have told you before, and i tell you again, just because you type one sentence after another does not necessarily mean they relate, much less support each other.

So please be more explicit. Your foggy logic lacks salience.

PLEASE READ THE QUOTE FROM YOU IN MY POST. THEN READ MY REPLY. PUT THE TWO TOGETHER. IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE TO ANYONE WITH MORE THEN 10 BRAIN CELLS. EVEN THE LITTLE GIRLS YOU MOLEST CAN MAKE SENSE OUT OF THAT MORON (AND THEY ARE PREPUBESCENT)

I'LL BE BACK FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT LATER. I'M GOING TO THE GYM. SOMETHING YOU MAY WANT TO LOOK INTO DOING.

Two words...”Probable Cause”. The charge in the end might very well not stick, but the handcuffs can and will come out if the officer has probable cause.

Interesting.

I think those cases are isolated though, and most were from that New London, CT case...

I know a lot of smart cops, many of whom graduated with 2,4, and 6 year degrees in a wide spectrum of subjects.

I don't think they have dropped testing like that in California., but I might be wrong. I will ask about it tomorrow, or as soon as I can.

As for the last thing you wrote, I never knew that statistic. That makes me laugh, because stupid people should NOT be cops, especially since those tests test for reading, writing, memory, and reasoning skills! Scary!

look mommy! iwannabeafedtooth is here.
