1. In a large saucepan, cook 1 package ground turkey (16oz), 1 large
chopped onion,
1 chopped green pepper, 2 cups chopped fresh mushrooms, 3 teaspoons
garlic
until turkey is cooked right through.
2. Drain excess fat.
3. Add 15 oz. can tomato sauce, 15 oz. can diced tomatoes, 15 oz. can
dark
red kidney beans (rinse first), 3 teaspoons chili powder, 1 teaspoon
crushed
basil, sprinkle pepper, splash of hot pepper sauce.
4. Bring to boil.
5. Reduce heat, cover, simmer for 20 minutes.
Recipe courtesy of WTFBBQ's woman. I was bored last night and didn't have much to do after work so I spent an hour or so cooking this up. Now I've got three good sized bowls of it to consume over the next 7 hours here at work. I've got horrendous gas already from just smelling it, which is good because my cube neighbor is smacking his food especially loud today. Die. I was 198.5 in the gym today with no water or food in me and freshly crapped. I have enough chili sitting in my cooler to hit 215 by the end of the day.
