Converse All Stars

Do these make good lifting shoes? For squats? They have a pretty flat sole in them.

I'm a low budget guy and I'm not shucking out for Chucks anytime soon. Now I'm lifting in an old pair of sneakers but I'll take all the squat help I can get.

I sqaut and deadlift in my chucks.

Most of the lifters I see in the PL comps are wearing either chucks or wrestling shoes.

try squatting/deadlifting with no shoes.....this is what I've been doing lately....although people kinda look at me funny at the gym.

makes quite a difference

I squat in my airwalks for more ROM ..ATF + an extra Inch = Im sore

For deads I go barfoot for a shorter ROM, I want as much weight as possible.

If you can't afford the real deal, walmart sells an exact knock off for about $10.00 in black or red. They are made exactly the same.

I get them at famous footware as well. But I figured I'd post about the walmart knockoffs. For some people that extra $10.00 saved can make a difference with their weekly budget.

Hell, you can get wrestling shoes for under $30 off-season. That's what I did. I love'em.
