controlled delivery help?!

I had a bunch of gear confiscated from mexico about 2 and a half months ago and a UPS slip was left on the door of the address saying the package was coming from "Everyday Mail". No one was at the location so the door wasn't answered. They labeled that as the first attempt and never came back. I was not expecting anything and have a funny feeling about this. I read some posts saying that it should NOT be signed for under any circumstances, and other posts saying if it's not signed for, that is considered suspicious activity and can backfire. What should be done if the package is brought over again?

By the way. It has been 4 days since the first attempt.

Dude, Everyday Mail is a type of delivery I think, I get those slips all the time when I order and then they redeliver it and its all good.

Simply explain to them that you haven't ordered anything. See who the sender is, maybe it's a relative or something.

lol the items were not ordered to my house and no one would know the address. so i doubt its a relative. but the person who answers the door should just say that we're not expecting anything so this is not for us?

Bro,
If your not expecting anything than I seriously doubt someone is going to send you gear out of the blue. I also doubt anyone is going to try and set you up by making a delivery of drugs you never ordered. There are to many legitimate bust out there to make. If you are telling us the whole story then you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Ya I think you need to calm down. You have nothing to worry about if you didn't order anything. I mean fuck if it was me and I had some Roids delivered to my house I don't give a fuck who there from all I'd know is that would be one lucky motherfuckin Day!!:stpatty:

the reason i was worried was because i read on other boards that people ordered gear overseas, and were set up by police to have it delivered in a repackaged box that if you open, you claim responsibility. it mite not even be roids in the box, i was just worried about getting my signature on it. my original question was: Do I sign for the package, or do I decline it?

Rubix,
I think I misread your post so I am going to paraphrase what I think you are stating and then give advice based on that. If my assumptions are wrong please let me know. You ordered from a source (or foreign pharmacy) gear from mexico which was then taken by customs. Customs sent you a letter confirming gear was confiscated. You are not expecting a resend from your source or gear from any other source. Your fear is that a local agency has decided to try a controlled delivery of gear taken by customs. While this seems highly unlikely to me if you want to be on the safe side remove all gear and related items from your home. If you are not expecting anything and therefore will not miss whatever is coming simply see what is on the return address and tell the mailman you aren't expecting anything and in todays climate would prefer to have the item returned to sender. Again this is the safe route and probably is not necessary but if it will make you feel better then there is nothing wrong or illegal about it. Then simply get a new mailing address for any other gear you order. Hope this helped.

Maybe mom sent a surprise care package of home made cookies. I mean, it IS possible that some one is senging you something legit. Are you going to be paranoid for the rest of your life? What are you going to do at Christmas when other, i-didn't-order-them, packages arrive? Return the pair of flannel jammies to your aunt? See what I'm driving at?

That's the exact answer I was looking for. Thanks again.

Maybe no help?

The problem here is that it's UPS. They always try to get a signature when they drop stuff off. That's what makes this "controlled delivery" look innocent. Often, it's done via USPS where having to sign for stuff is very unusual.

So, if your source uses UPS, under these circumstances (knowing it was confiscated) you are quite right to not want to accept the package. Is it possible replacement stuff was sent? If that was true, I'd presume your source would have told you to expect a new package.

Sounds like good adivce has been given. Clean house (make sure any gear you have is elsewhere--be sure to sanitize your computer of any blatant incriminating info). Then, when it shows up again, make a judgment call. If it looks like a package you should have expected, risk signing for it (maybe it's something legit from someone else you know). If it looks like a trap, decline the package saying you aren't expecting anything and don't recognize the shipper. You don't have to sign to refuse a package.
