you just wrote yourself a one way ticket out of Yankee Town........

GOTTA LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! The CURSE is OV-ER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seven games left......

I'm rooting for the sox just so people will have to find a new thing to do other than bitch about "the curse".

Hopefully the series goes seven games.

With 2 outs left in the ninth and a Buckner-ess screw up by Boston, the National league wins.

Just to keep messing with their heads.

Sorry, but Bill Buckner was torched on a stick in Salem last week as an offering to the baseball gods.

Nevah happen again!

the Red Sox so deserve the win. Great job guys

the sox dont match up well with either national league team

I disagree. I'd say they match up better with St. Louis than Houston, but still they match up pretty well with either. They match up good with anyone for that matter. They are a complete team.

Hopefully it will go in the shortest amount of time. Whoever in one, just get it off tv.

The curse ain't over until they win a world series, beating the Yankees or winning the LCS doesn't end the curse. '86 was the last time they went to the series.

I'm so glad the Dodgers dumped Kevin Brown on the Yankees, 15 million worth of choke!

i disagree, their hitting is no where near as potent as either nl team, and thier pitching is suspect at best, pedro is well past his prime and schilling is hurt

They led the league in runs. How is that not as potent?

And Clemens and Pettite are more in their prime than Pedro and Schilling? Schilling looked great in game 6.

they play in boston, a band box, they better score some runs, besides ramirez no one in that line up is scary, tell me someone on the sox who you would take over pujols, edmonds, walker or rolen, yes schilling looked great in game 6, do you really think hes gonna do that again in the series? are you even sure hes going to pitch in the series? and pettite is not even pitching what are u talking about, but hell yes i would take clemens over pedro

Cards will give them a tough time, Sox are hot though.

yeah, of course Ortiz. What you lmao'ing about? He just played one of the best ALCS's in history. He is still very likely to win the AL MVP. Sure Pujols and Rolen and those guys are good too, but no one has played better in the playoffs than Ortiz. Maybe Beltran, but not even he has been as clutch as Ortiz. I'm not a Sox fan or anything, but I don't know what the hell you're talking about.

geezus damon just had a hell of a game last night, id take him over pujols in a heartbeat

Well i can see you are in love with Pujols, but that does nothing to prove that either NL team poses a mismatch for the Red Sox. It'll be a good series no matter who gets there, but the Red Sox definitely can match up with either. Their pitching just matched up with the Yankees, a virtual All Star team.

pujols will go down as one of the 5 greatest players of all time unless he gets injured, do you even watch this guy play? rolen is the best defensive 3b in the national league and puts up good hitting numbers most years, edmonds is one of the most underrated players in the game, go look at his career stats he is very consistent and is good for at least 30 hrs a year, and walker i hope i dont even have to explain myself with him, he will be in the hof, and you guys come back with ortiz and act like hes fucking ruth

When did I ever say the St. Louis lineup wasn't great? I didn't. Boston has a great lineup as well though. Ramirez and Ortiz are at the top of every offensive category in the AL just as Pujols and Rolen are. Boston has two future hall of famers pitching for them if you want to use that argument, which St. Louis doesn't. You think Larry Walker will be in the HOF by the way? I don't know about that. He's good so I'm not saying he isn't, but I don't really think he is HOF material. We'll see I guess.

My point is, you aren't proving they don't match up well with the Sox. Sure the Cards have a great offensive lineup, but so does Boston, and Boston has a better pitching staff. Boston might have a better lineup than Houston, but I'd say Houston makes up for it with a better pitching staff than Boston. My point is, I think it's a pretty good matchup whoever makes it, with neither team providing a mismatch.

i agree their pitching is better, st louis took a huge blow when their ace, carpenter, went out for the year, but boston is not a team like the diamondbacks that can win only because of their pitching
