ok-so i started this new diet and exercise program mid january and now it is mid march. the results i have seen have been minimal and i am ready to pick up the pace. i don't get what the hell is wrong with my uncooperating body. i weigh 127 and i am 5'2 with 24 per cent body fat. i really want to cut down on the bf. i barely eat any carbs (on weekend i do). help help help

go on the Atkins diet (1 gram of protein for every pound u weigh with less than 10 grams of carbs a day) and do cardio every day. maybe some minimal weight lifting to build a little bit of muscle to get that nice physique.

yo, u will need to be more specific on your diet / training routine in order for people to evaluate your program....

What does your current diet and workout look like?? It does not matter if you eat no carbs, b/c if calorie intake is more than you burn a day then u wont lose weight, carbs or no carbs. It all comes down to calories. Its much more involved than that but that quack Dr. Atkins has people thing weight loss is stalled from hidden carbs, bullshit. Carb control is useful for a variety of reasons but not the ones he states. Give details of your current plan and i'll help u out.

Lee, she already is on an atkins type diet, she said she eats almost no carbs. Doing cardio every day is overkill and TOTALLY unnecessary. Aerobics exercise is vastly over-rated for fat loss purposes, and if one wants to get a nice body, weight lifting should be the MAIN source of exercise. NOT the other way around.

Bump PwB,

On another note, If your diet post reflects your ideology no need to answer my PM. Oherwise.......Lastly, could you please factor how your leptin levels / issues are affected on your progam.

confused's diet

ok-first i want to thank you guys for taking the time to help me out..I am warning you that I may be a helpless cause though. In jan, I got a personal trainer to help me acheive my goals, and nothing happened...and i mean nothing. this is what i currently eat in a day..(keep in mind, if one of you devises a plan for me, it can be strict..i promise i will follow it if i will finally see results.)

1. designer whey protein shake w/ flax oil and half milk half water
2. 2 handfuls mixed nuts with salt. nuts consisted of walnuts, peanuts, cashews, almonds.
3. pure protein bar or atkins advantage bar
4. 2 pieces of cut up grilled chicken over broccoli.
5. either another protein bar or protein shake
(sometimes i am more strict, sometimes less)

i work out consistently although I only went twice last week.(very rare, was busy in school) I mainly only weight train..although my trainer never has be do many arm exercises. usually just work with my shoulders and upper back and always leg stuff. we always do ab exercises first and i never ever ever noticed a change in the flabby abs in 2 months of this. i didn't do any cardio until i stopped seeing him and started doing cardio myself this week (so only 2 days).
i really need something which will give me results. i am an extremely motivated person and this will be a lifestyle change for me. i just need to know what the hell to do. (by the way, just starting taking nyc's to see if that helps me out.)

pwb-are you still going to help

pwb-
i don't know if you still wanted to help me organize a plan, but I would love to listen to your advice

I'm no diet guru - but a few thoughts from my own experiences.

1 - Get a new trainer or training routine
2 - Train heavy, hard and try and hit all body parts
3 - Try and eat more real food and leave the *protein bar* for emergency food. (IE. meal 3 & 5)
4 - Lost the nuts FAST. (IE. meal 2)
5 - MORE GREENS!
6 - More clean fleshy protein.
