I have nothing against it for those who want it, but I have everything against it when they will force doctors to join it, or if they expect me to pay for it, when I will never use it. Yes, I used the word "never"! Give us a choice, and I'll probably be fine with it. If somehow it becomes law, and even if I have to pay for it, I'll look elsewhere for medical care. Anyone who thinks that there won't be a new underground medical care network, is smoking wacky tobacky. They outlawed alcohol, and we had moonshiners. They outlawed gambling, and we had the mafia. Now they outlaw cash-basis medical care as in Canada, and because there is a HUGE demand for cash-paid medical care, there will be plenty of outlaw organizations offering it....... And without contributing to the tax base.
FACT: I read an article in a high-end investors news letter (not mine, LOL), and it told of a business plan to buy a giant cruise ship, hire a team of the very best doctors in the world, and operate a state-of-the-art hospital just offshore from the USA in international waters, and outside of any jurisdiction. Perfectly legal, and would owe no taxes other than the ship registry to a foreign country, and only the rich will benefit. Think it won't happen under Obamacare if there isn't an opt-out for doctors and patients?
The whole Obamacare idea makes about as much sense as a 110% mortgage with no payments for the first year, and with free government mortgage insurance in case you can't pay when that first payment comes due, for the unemployed.
