My computer color is all messed up. I went into the display options and it looks normal to me, i also went into the my options on my monitor and that didnt help.
My color is blurred and funny looking. Also here on elite where the page is gray or what ever I end up with a white screen with poker dots.
I am running on windows 98.
My mouse options also have changed and it is not showing that it is changed.
Some help please

That's just Needto's.

Seriously, check to make sure your monitor is connected well. You might even try disconnecting it on both ends if both have blue connectors. Some monitors will have the cable built in so there will not be one on the monitor end. If you have a cable with other colored connectors, try disconnecting those and reconnecting them.

If you still have no luck and this is a CRT (Tube like a regular old TV), check the color settings(all 3 colors). If you can change any one color from high to low with no affect on the screen, you probably need a new monitor. If you have a LCD (Nice newer style flat panel), does the menu have color issues? If so, the panel is probably shot. If not, and it connect with blue connectors, the A to D converter may be shot, and the monitor is effectively as well.

Hope this helps

try degaussing your monitor, its in the monitor menu settings (one of the buttons on the monitor). the degauss option often looks like a magnet. give that a shot.

Not as much as picking on your Avi.

Artrius brings up a valid suggestion too. I haven't had to degauss a monitor in soo long. We have 800+ LCDs at work.

I dont think it is the monitor. I redid some of the display settings. Once i restarted the comp the initial Windows welcome screen color was perfect. I re did a few other things I deguassed it as well. Nothing is helping. I think it has to do with the settings, my 1 yr old probably pushed some thing. I just need to figure out what he did now! lol
thanks guys.. I will try unplugging it a little later on
No the comp is from the 2000's. it is not that old, lol

Yeah, I know. I had an issue where my monitor wasn't displaying properly (part of image was off the screen) in 1024x768 (its a 19" LCD, not that I use 1024x 768 normally, just in rare cases) and I COULDN'T for the life of me figure out why... I COMPLETELY forgot to hit the damned auto adjust button. I felt like a retard. Well, the monitor normally does it by itself. :coffee:

16 colors? that is what it says.
i think my color resolution is too high

16 colors??? That's WAY TOO LOW. That means you can only show like... 16... colors. Instead of the normal MILLIONS of colors. Change it to 24 or 32 bit color. If you don't have that option, then you need to reinstall your video card driver.

If you don't know how to do that, then you need to figure out who made your video card, then go to their website, and then download theire drivers, and then install them. Let me know if you need any more help.
