First, is there memory for PC2700 made in a bigger size than 1g? That is all I seem to find.

Second, has anyone used a computer like this?

Not necessarily THAT particular one, but one that has a touch activated screen to it? If so, did you like it? Or did it just end up a screen full of smudgey fingerprints everywhere?

Technically, yes they make a 2gb. However, I believe it's server memory. Maybe someone more educated on the subject can explain the difference between desktop and server memory.

the height of the stick itself..

and since most computers of that gen only allowed for 2 sticks, you are stuck with a max 2 gig.. xp it's ok to run that on that size.. but forget vista..

For real. Sigh... I see some people are substituting PC3200 for PC2700, but then again that is in a max of 1g per stick as well.

I wish I could find a geek to build me one to my specs. Nothing fancy, just something that will last for a while with no upgrade needed for years. It's not like I do complicated stuff.

Why do you need 2GB in one stick if the max is still 2GB. Sometimes you need both slots full to use the full memory bandwidth.
