I got a Windows 7 Ultimate NFR I currenly have vista home (OEM) on my PC wondering if I should give the 7 a go? Who used it and liked it? I love the idea of XP mode. I just don't want it to jack up anything else on my PC. I love the IT business pretty much every piece of software I got running on this PC is an NFR!

I just got a free W7 Ultimate signature edition for free! $219 and a bunch of tote bags, deck of cards a poster, napkins etc.

I registered as an IT guy and they sent it to me lol!

I have been using w7 rc for months now, it's stable as can be and beautiful, easy to use to. It's everything they wanted Vista to be.

unless you work in the computer industry, nobody has used win7 yet. The release date is oct. 22nd.

that being said, I used it (i'm in the industry) and you should DEFINITELY get that over vista.

RC was available for months for free on microsoft.com
it expires in March 2010 and your comp will shut off every 2 hours
I already have it to be able to dual boot 7 along with XP so I'm good. Plus I have my Ultimate disc:)

pics to come

Don't you sell this shit? WTF?

Oh for fsakes "Error 1921 Service Kaspersky Internet Security AVP could not be stopped. Verify that you have sufficient privleges to stop system services." It is my bloody PC I will stop what ever the hell I want GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

are you doing a clean install or using the "upgrade option"?

You should partition your hard drive and dual boot and keep vista as you feel out 7

upgrading is a whole other beast. many upgrades can take up to 20 hours. And word is still out if all your apps and drivers work. Fresh install is still the best but most companies don't have the time and cost to do a fresh instal on every computer. I havne't found a single company here who is planning on upgrading to win 7 once it comes out.

I'm offended you only think about me when you're in need of a geek. Just once can I get a hello when you're in the shower lathering up the girls and hoohoo? Dang!

I feel you bro, she should take care of ya, QT is an awesome chick BTW :qt:

I ahven't seen the need to upgrade from XP. We will see but I don't see or hear anything going on with win 7 that is a must have.

I would go to Windows 7 in a heart beat if I still used Windows at home.

no reason to not go from XP to 7? Trust me bro, it's tight

Sticky notes for reminders on your desktop

cpu gauges

sick search box for what your looking to fix or find

Faster than XP and I have three other comps with XP

It won me over in about 3-4 days
