Computer companies to order from...help

So i know about dell and gateway. And compaq. Rather not get a gateway or compaq, bad experiences with both. Dell is fine, but there has to be others out there. My previous two computers were Quantex and that company has since gone under. What are some online order computer companies. They have all vanished.

just saw atlas on cnet, forgot about micron too. Dell seems to be the leader though, any others?

Dell, but there was this real cheap computer company from Afganistan, but I havnt heard from them for a while other than something about rubble being a problem!

i have a dell ... and im really happy with it ... the customer service is superb ... my monitor got busted so i called them and they sent me my new monitor overnight so i got it the next day ...
also my hard drive died ... i got a replacement the next day too ... except they sent me a 40 gig one and i used to have 13 ... hehe

these guys are great. i don't know what their support is like as i've never needed it.

go to www.pricewatch.com and you'll find a housebrand that has the same components at a much lower price.

i wouldn't know. i was planning on just making a frankenstein computer by taking some parts from this one and adding new parts.

hmmm. i would need a new video card, motherboard, CPU, RAM & case. everything else is either up to date or doesn't need to be upgraded. i can get an up to date (generally) system for $300 if i buy used parts on ebay.
