Compound movements post cycle

Gymbob

New member
Hey bro's, im almost done with my cycle and about to start clomid therapy. I was wondering if im still ok to go heavy on the 3 main compound movements, deadlift\squat\bench. When i go heavy on squat\deadlift i get real drained and i was wondering if this will affect me keeping my gains post cycle.

Any info appreciated, thanks

Gymbob.

you can overtrain everyone is different...deadlift on the weeks you dont squat...so deadlift eow same with squats..

eow=every other week

nWo=New World Order:)

IMO, mostly compound movement postcycle, is the way to go. Long rest between sets, and exersises, short workouts, heavy.

Thanks for the info, when you say long rest between sets how long do you mean? and do you think 1hr would be too long to stay in the gym? I think i might cut down to 3 days a week and train my shoulders a bit on leg day.

I was thinking low reps sets would be the best after warmup, 1-6 reps to keep strength up what to you think?

Yes, I would train hard on the compound movements, and then take it easy on the other exercises.

For example: Chest:

Incline Bench: 3 sets to failure

Dumbell press: 1 set to failure, 2 sets close to failure

DB flyes: 2 easy sets

Cable Cross overs: 1 easy set

Thanks for the input, i did back and bi's today and did the following,

3 sets dumbell rows (inc 1 warmup set) (8-10 reps)
3 sets cable pulldowns (8-10 reps)
3 sets low rows (8-10)

3 sets barbell curls (8-10 reps)
3 sets cable curls (8-10 reps)

I went heavy and to failure but less sets than during my cycle and more rest between sets, i guess i'll see how it goes i did miss the deadlifts though.

Im doing chest tomorrow so i'll try the workout that andy mentioned, i'll let you know how it goes......
