What an amazing day...... I had so much fun.....

I was so impressed with the ladies that I competed against........
The master class had 12 competitors and every one looked fantastic.....

The light weight division had 9 competitors..another great lot of competitors

I took first place in the Women's Light Weight
I took second place for Women's Masters
I also won the trophy for "Best Poser" ...

It was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be heading to Edmonton this weekend to compete in the Provincials for the Women's Light Weight ( June 24 )

Pics did not come out great...very dark...and not many at all... here;s what Robin and Jen got ( I tried to lighten them ). There were profesional photographers taking pics, so I hope to get some good quality ones but it won't be for a few weeks.....

Now to diet for one more week ... Today I feel like crap...exhausted.....drained.... I ended up eating granola and peanut butter.....To be honest, I don't think it will hurt me too much as my body needed it.......Tomorrow is back on track though......and start the cycle again so I can compete on Saturday again

Wish me luck for the provincials

PS- Oh yah, I had my hair done different for the show .......

* & "Best Poser" ... :)

I cannot wait to see some more pics.... under the 'lights' I'm sure you looked phenom & these pics dont do you justice...

I'm thrilled you had so much fun. Great job

Thanks :)

Question;

There was a lot of posing done.. By the end of the night my right calve was cramping pretty badly.I took at least 5 g of taurine, 400 or so of potassium and some magnesium to help me get through it.
Today my calve is killing me and it';s full of bruises.... I'm really hoping it calms down by Saturday...

Are there any suggestions to help it back and maybe prevent it from happening again on Saturday???
I will only be competing on one class Saturday so it should not be as bad,

Thanks in advance

Look At The Levels Of Diruretics And Decide If The Sodium Level Matched The Extra Potassium

The water depletion is usually the source of that cramping. Don't know if you used any diuretics or not.

What did you end up weighing in at? You look AMAZING!

Also tried to lighten up your pix a little.

I'm not sure I understand what shadow means......

I used Xpel.....

Weighed in at 111 lbs.....

I only really starting cramping at the end of the day. what's freaky are the bruises on my calve

Dayumm girl! you looked great! Even with the pictures being dark and all.... a BIG CONGRATS to ya and good luck next weekend :)

Just the water deplete can cause the cramps - and esp in the shins that can happen.

You should be ok over the rest of the week. I think its just one of those things that comes w/ posing & holding those poses for a long time. Expel is potassium sparing so it shouldn't really make it worse - but just that situation by itself lends itself to cramping.

Potassium is half the battle with cramps...sodium must also be in balance...any clen??

awesome pics wk! congrats on the victory! I agree that you have a killer back. You obviously were disciplined in your diet.
I wouldn't worry too much about the bruising..that can happen when your muscle get real tight and are close to the surface
You could continue to take a daily dose of taurine and pot until your next show. I've been having trouble w. cramping during posing practice, so I started doing that...seems to be helping

You look Awesome girl!!!! GREAT job! I definitely know the hard work it took ya to get well... somewhat there... Not quite there myself.

Thanks :)

No clen......

I did sodium deplete..was very careful as to the foods I ate........was drinking distilled water......

Shadow, are you saying I should intake sodium to match the potassium??? I thought "sodium" was the enemy: and to avoid it at all costs?????

Sodium WILL make you hold water.

Dehydration induced cramps are the result of losing, among other things, minerals..potassium AND sodium.

TO get as dry as you did - it was just the drop in sodium

So I guess I need to suck it up as it's part of the game.......

I'll stretch the calve out all week, hopefully I'll be good for Saturday again.....

Thanks for the input :)

Wooow! You look amazing! no wonder why you got 1st, 2nd and a trophy!

One more week to go, hold on you're doing great.

Provincials or competition # 2 done....

Doing comps back to back ( one week apart) is brutal and something I would not like to do again....

I placed 2nd in the provincials which qualifies me to compete in the Canadian National Bodybuilding Championships.... I have decided I wil take a year to get ready for that comp..... so the new goal is just that ...getting ready for the Nationals 2007 ( I'll probably start a new thread for that )

Here are some pics from this weekend...again my 12 year old daughter took them... the photographer ones come later sometime

Wow you all look like machines!!!! Very cool!!!!!

Thanks!!!

Advice????? Listen to your body.....I went against the grain on some things because I felt my body needed it and it worked for me.....

Now for the post... I have not stopped eating since Saturday night.....

I really have to get my head into the regular workouts very soon....

I did cardio this morning...and I hope to get into weights again by Wednesday...

and the most important ...get back into my regular diet...6 days on..one day off....I weighed 106 lbs at weigh in Friday at 6;00 PM.... I weighed 117 this morning.....

I will start a new thread "preparing for the nationals 2007" once I get my head into it
