Coffee on Keto.

Hey, was just wondering what coffee tastes like with splenda. I love coffee, there are only a few things in the world better But i cant stand black coffee, and was wondering if splenda tasted like those aweful sweet n' lows, or if it actually tastes nice? Or how does aspertame taste as a sweetner.

Next im going to require a milk substance, and i know milk is a no no on keto, so what about coffee mate(a non dairy substitute). I also heard heavy cream is ok? For anyone who knows thanks

I drink my coffee black, but while on a keto diet I did add splenda to other things and I think it taste much better than other sweeteners. I have heard of others mixing heavy creme with coffee and they seem to like it.

I mix heavy cream with spenda and I think it tastes like Ice Cream.... I don't like coffee, but I would imagine it tasting like coffee ice cream !!!

One of my favorite things to have while on CKD was coffee with heavy cream and equal. Just remember, one packet of equal is
2 tspns of sugar. So dont over do it. I think splenda is a 1 = 1 ratio.

The heavy cream helped me get my necessary fat in too. A good dessert that I liked was a little heavy cream and a dash of splenda or equal. It tastes like ice cream!

Excuse my ignorance but whats equal? Im guessing a sweetner of some sort? Is it better than Splenda?

Ive tried sweetners in the past before and hated them, and ive noticed how they are quite expensive... so im just wondering if splenda or this equal taste good?

Thanks, also whats the carbs in a heavy cream like a lot?

equal is an aspartame based sweetner

heavy cream has about 3g of carbs per 100ml

well 1 tablespoon is like 15ml right? And i usually have 3 milks in my coffee, so cream is stronger so i think id probably end up having 2 tablespoons, so thats 30 ml which is just under 1g of carbs. So yay I can have coffee again

there isnt a whole lot of cals in a drop of cream u put in the coffee

i read a book called "coffee" saying it can give up to 15% bmr increase

I skip the coffee because it started messing my my sugar levels once it wore off and had me craving sugar. I read somewhere that Atkins warns of this also.
