COC Gripper No1 PR

WalkingBeast

Elite Dementor
Platinum
Closed the number one gripper 21 times with right hand. One off from my best. My left is still real weak in comparison, only closing it 1.5 times. I just picked up the trainer and No2, should be getting them soon. Look forward to working with them and strengthening my right hand also. Havent been using the gripper much at all, but have always been coming back stronger. Hope to close the Number 2 soon after getting it.

maybe you should work on your left before going any further?

kinda freaky to have such a huge strength differential. but then again i think you strive for freaky

:FRlol: :FRlol: :FRlol: Yea Im not too big on balance and symmetry. Ill use the trainer for my right hand anyway, just to get the strength up. Overall I train for intimidation factor and strength.
ThanX brother!

Even though that is a rather large strength imbalance, the COC's, I think, are designed for a right hand, and not the left. Those springs are so large, when they are in your right hand, the spring is aligned with your hand, so as your close it, you're closing straight against the spring. In the left, the spring sits a little crooked, so as you apply pressure, it's not exactly straight against the tension of the string. Like I said, 21 to 1.5 is a little too much, but don't be suprised if you can't quite get them equal either.

ThanX brother! Didnt realize that. Not sure how that works. I never had that strength imbalance with the store bought grippers.
I would get 100 reps on each hand. It does feel real awkward in my left hand. ThanX again brother!!

i've noticed the same thing with the grippers feeling weird in my left hand and i think i know why. Put the gripper in your right hand and look at the end of the spring that is closest to your thumb. Notice that it is farther from your palm than the other end of the spring. Now put the gripper in your left hand. The two ends of the spring reverse. I think that might have some impact on how difficult the gripper is to close. Hope that made sence.

That's what I was trying to get at. It's tough to explain without having one in front of you. You don't put pressure on the same angle against the spring in your left hand as you do in your right.

But that's ok. When you want to crush a walnut at a party to impress your friends, just do it in your right hand.

Yes the CoC grippers are made for the right hand. I think it only causes a small difference in difficulty though.
