They're smart to have moved that to springtime from when it used to be in late summer.... HOT! 120 in the shade.

Secret way to get there from the LA area: Get off Hwy 10 at Hwy 62 north (toward Twentynine Palms). Go about a mile, and turn Rt on Dillon Road, and follow that 30 miles straight east, and it dumps you right into downtown Indio without the hassle of the 10 and it's little 1-lane exits through the eastern Coachella Valley. (No gas or stops for about 30 miles of that). Once you get into Indio, you're on your own to figure out where to park and catch a shuttle to the polo fields.
