Thanks for the K. It was a pleasant surprise to find at the end of my walk.

I used to read a lot of Wild West stuff when I was a kid. Hickok always struck me as special. It's sometimes hard to separate fact from fiction, though. Isn't he reputed to have fought a bear at one time?

The bear fight has been attibuted to Wild Bill, I am not certain of its authenticity, though, as it has been attributed to many legends of the old west. Interesting history though. If I come across veritable proof I will let you know.

Of course it is Doc. God work and a great read on Wild bill you posted. People don't write like that anymore. Doc's grave is only a short drive from my place now, though his exact burial site is unknown.

I think the 'stache was the norm. Though back then they hair and 'stache got a bit ripe. Who's to argue with Bill Or Doc though?
