CKD, urine smell question

I am 4 days into my first week of CKD.

When I was younger, we had rainwater drip down through the garage ceiling and collect in buckets. After a day or so, the buckets would begin to smell pretty bad.

Right now my urine smells *exactly* like that smell. Is this normal, on CKD, for the urine to smell like festering rainwater?

Its the ketones you are excreting. Someone correct me if I am wrong but don't you start to excrete a form of acetone?

yes that smell probably is ketones in your urine... though ketonuria doesnt necessarily mean you are in ketosis....
