ckd and headaches

im on day 3 of my ckd

my head feels like it is stuck in the clouds and there is pressure right between my eyes, my lifts have gone down (not much though, just needed more of a spot than i thought for a couple exercises)

im already feeling tired (but this is somewhat expected i guess)

any suggestions: stick it out, it gets better or try a different diet

interesting, i'm 1 week in .. no carbups at all yet and I feel great... almost making me wonder if I'm doing something wrong!

feeling tired is normal..your body needs time to adjust. Make sure your are having enough cals and eat frequently ie every 2-3hrs

yes, stick it out, it does get better. you might want to check into supplementing with some potassium. it sounds like you might be deficient in it.

my diet was spot on, but unfortunatly i 'passed out' (fell asleep upright in my chair for 45min today)

i figure im gonna try a balanced diet something close to 40-30-30 and just do the cardio and try and eat quality food...it may take longer, but hopefully ill eventually get to where i want to be

as for the potasium, im going to wait a little closer to summer and give CKD another shot, ill keep this in mind, try supplementing it...but if i get as bad a headaches as i did today and yesterday i know that CKD isn't for me

That`s funny ZK I feel the same way! Like I`m doing something wrong because I`m feeling great. lol OH Well, I`m losing weight so it does`nt matter.

Stick it out, the first 3 days of the CKD (ironically) are the most brutal. Your brain is adjusting to using Ketones from using glucose, at least partially. It also takes time for your muscle tissue to be able to adapt to the Ketone use; thus, after 2-3 weeks these symptoms should be all gone. You'll feel the opposite in 2-3 weeks I promise. Oh yes, try adding MCT oil to the diet, it does seem to help.
