Good job!!!!
A couple ideers on your stretches...
I don't see any good adductor stretches. Try the butterfly.
Try the kneeling hip flexor stretch. On your knee hips tucked under press forward with the hip as you lean the upper torso back. Leg should be straight back. Then you can adjust the foot position. Where the leg stays straight but the foot is slightly positioned lateral to the body. Then continue pressing forward with the hip as you lean back. This will stretch iliacus, and TFL.
I like this better for hip flexors and hip area in general anyway especially since you have a bum back, over that pidgeon stretch which can be hard on the back. To hit that piriformis I would do it on your back leg across the other pulling the bent knee toward your chest.
Oh well thats' all my 2 cents.. but I'm glad you are having a new log ;)

Clarification here, I am NOT prego! LMAO.

family doctor said he can't do anything until my mRI, which he is now booking cause the back specialist is a dickhead.

so I have to wait 6 months for them to do anything??? I have the chiropractor booked for saturday but everyone is telling me not to go, I don't know what to do.

But I do know I will not live for another 6 months like this so any suggestions I appreciate.

I'm at a loss, doll. If you had the cash, I'd say go to the states & get yer MRI done. There & back in a day.

Wow, MRI here, for a friend who's wife has a bad back, was 2-3 weeks, & she's facing paralysis, from a car accident.

JAN 21

Went to the chiro yesterday, I don't think I will ever go again. He told me that I shouldn't hurt worse than I already do, and really he didn't do to much so I wasn't that worried when I left.

Well last night I could barely move, I couldn't sleep and almost went to the hospital the pain was sooo bad.

All he did was but electrodes on my back and when he turned them on I jumped up screaming "to high tooo high", so he turned it down and then it felt good,

but then he tried to ly on me LOL and I screamed in pain

so then he took me to another room where this table went up and down and he pulled up on my back and then pulled on my ankles.

I was lying on my stomach he told me to lift my leg up to my knees and then he bent my leg the other way and tried to massage an point on my rear end, it was fine for the left leg but it wasn't to good for the right.

He wants me to come back 4 more times this week, I am SCARED to also he said that a simple blood test and the xray should of told the doctors yes or no as to whether I have AS, and he isn't sure why a MRI is necessary if they think that is what it is..

Anyway that was my experience at the chiropractor, not sure if I will go back. LOL

Today I will stretch before I leave for my mothers and after!

Ouch! I understand the first coupla visits can be painful. Was this your first time?
Have you ever tried an inversion table? I have a friend with disc problems. He lays on an inversion table with a hockey helmet on & sand in bags in the helmet. Just enough weight to pull on his spine a tiny amount. Fixes him up.

Get yer nails done? Anything exotic?

It was my first time, he said something about a traction table this week.

I didn't get my nails done, I couldn't move after, but I plan on it when I get my spa day! But it won't be anything exotic, I like the french manicure with not too long of nails, I usually end up breaking the long ones within a week. LOL

Hey you!!! HOw was the big birthday celebration or did I miss it???
Oh and how you liking the diet still?

I HATED going to the chiro - he made me hurt MORE than I did when I hurt.......bleh!

Feel better soon!

Haven't really had one yet, with skiing canceled and the death of hubbies friend it has been way to busy, but I am sure we will get it in.

The diet is great, I haven't lost any yet, but I haven't gained any 153 steady, but I would like to start loosing.

I am going to start walking on the treadmill 3x times a week for thirty minutes!

HiDnGoD said:

Did you get yer stretching in?

I didn't have to move any so it was great!

Got my stretching in, and this is weird but my back is doing soooo much better???? I don't know if it was the chiro or not! I am supposed to go back 4 times this week, I really don't think I am going to fit it in but we shall see.

walk for thirty minutes

FLEXABILITY (0-10, 10 BEING GREAT) 3 woke up this morning and the pain is minor today YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOO
After running a little sore, but stretched and I feel it a little in my lower back still.

TO DO-
play all day with my girls! I may take them to the big mall here
and ..... study

Not sure if I am crazy but I would like to start an upper body/really modified lower body workout on the days I don't walk for thirty minutes. The weights will be low, low low and pink but :) I gotta start somewhere again.

kinda looking like this....

monday
-30 min cardio
tuesday
upper body workout 12,10,8,6 increasing the weight each time.
shoulders/triceps/biceps/chest
Wednesday
-30 min cardio
Thursday
-lower body 15,12,10, 8 most likely no weight at this time
Friday
-30 min cardio
Sat
- upper body workout 12,10,8,6 increasing the weight each time.
shoulders/triceps/biceps/chest/ maybe some back
Sun
-day off

I would like to incorporate abs in there but they have to be sooo modified I have to research what I can do so for this week I am pretty sure besides sucking in my gut when I remember that will be the extent of the abs.

You have a tendency to give 1294%, when you do something. I's afraid yer gonna hurt yourself some more, before you've given yourelf a chance to heal.

This time I promise to give 1294% of modified, being careful, slow working out and if it hurts stop workout :)

my trainer emailed me to see how it was going and she said that when I get back into weights that it will be very easy going. So I asked her if I should. LOL. Haven't done them yet soo, and the walking seemed to be ok today, but I am still going to take tomorrow off.

Thank you for the compliment, means a lot

Muscle Memory is a great thing. Even if you did lose some, when you are able to bigger weights, it will come back fairly quickly

It has been my hubby's dream that the bears win, he has never strayed and loves the team, one christmas all he got was bears "stuff". I only wish I could send him there to see it, THAT is his dream, but then we also would have to get our passports and I just don't see that happening soon enough.

Apparently there is a 2 month waiting list for passports right now. It used to be 10 days.

Yes taping does but why such animosity towards a creature of nature???? With the instincts to ripe apart their opponent when feeling threatened.

Oh unless you meant the football team. Well, I guess they do the same. HA HA

When we moved into our house, we were gonna paint all the rooms over. WE still haven't (10 yrs later), but my daughter's room has been painted 5 times.

My wife went to a naturopath once. Wifey thinks she helped her, somewhat. Didn't cure her problem, but possibly aleviated some of her pain. Shoulder, I think it was.

I know my cousin has diabetes and they have been able to cut her meds in half. so it is worth a try.

I have already painted the bathroom and the computer room and now the girls room, next the boys cause it is only fair they get a funky room too. Then one of the walls in the living room and kitchen and I am done for awhile.

We still have to get landscaping and a fence done, the shower upstairs and the basement soo this is a nice winter project and when my back is feeling sore I just get hubby to finish :)

Thank you, that was actually me at the end of august. My hubby and I look at that pic and he says I still look the same, bless his heart. I have a little more insulation on me now LOL but it is slowly coming off.

You are a paintin' fool! :D WOW! That is a LOT of work -- I have to say, I painted my entire apartment last year by myself and it was a pain in the rear! Hilarious that your daughter asked to have it painted back... 3 years from now you'll still be telling her to find a way to make those stripes look cool for her friends. :qt:

The whole house I don't think I could handle LOL I would have to kill the kids, as it was the tv babysat them while I was painting, I tried to get them to help but we got more paint on us then the walls.

I highly recommend hiring painters for a whole house or apartment, we did that and I LOVED it!

Today is the fun day I am going to have them help me stamp the walls, I printed off a whole bunch of tinkerbell. princess and dora pictures to paint on their walls.

to do-
- take a break from painting it is going to take a while, I drew dora, scooby doo and the gang, tinkerbell, my little pony, bambi and a big tree to paint. It is taking longer than I thought, just painting their names over their bed and getting their club house together, and cleaning up took all day
- assemble hutch and filing cabinet for computer room
- get paint
- go out on a date with family
= switching internet and phone providers so this should be interesting.

Have a great weekend everyone!
You are definitely SuperMom! You should paint YOUR bedroom with WonderWoman colors and themes when you are done! :D

JAN 27

Went shopping with my mom, she bought me a pair of 200 dollar running shoes for my bday!!!! I am going to try running this week sometime to see if it helps my back. Walking I can already feel a difference the guy told me the running shoes I was wearing I might as well been walking in bear feet, which I already new. She also bought me some really expensive foundation with a brush to apply it is amazing the difference.

Also BIG cheats today perogies, nelishinka, and cabbage rolls then we went out for supper and I had 3 chicken wings,4 stuffed mushrooms with seafood and a chicken salad with cheddar, mozza, pecans and bacon bits. and tonight 3 vodka coolers

The date with the family was awesome, have another one tomorrow! Stretching the same and back feels pretty great, still some nagging pain, but nothing I haven't lived with before it got really bad so I am pretty happy about that at the moment. (and it just isn't the vodka talking) LOL.

oh yeah and just a little side note, from doing a little experimenting I now know aspertaine gives me a headache over the left eye. I am also pretty happy I am pretty sure I found the culperate!

Is it one of those big outdoor things, or is it a smaller bathtub type. After this weekend I have to look into it.

Good luck on the Test. I think you'll do great.

^^ CK!!!! Ill study with you!!! :) In the 'cuzzi of course

Get your booty over here, of course my hubby will take pics of the memerable occassion. Shit he'd probably join us LOL.

I hope you get the green light to train again! That's great that the shoes helped. Back pain is just awful and I've only had it temporarily (like a couple months) on a fluke move when reaching for something. I can't imagine how you cope with it as you do.

And I don't care how many folks are in the 'cuzz, I'll scoot my little butt in there -- that DOES sound awesome right now. :p
