you ever hear that saying that God made a practical joke by making women preagnant for 9 months and wanting to be preagnant for 8 months.
lol no I havent! I have heard that the last 4 weeks go by the slowest. My girl isnt coming out anytime soon. She is not head down yet, has not dropped and Ive barely felt a BH contraction.
I will be term in two weeks but Im not getting my hopes up

The use of cold pressed castor oil in folk medicine predates government medical regulations. Cold pressed castor oil is tasteless and odorless when pure. Uses include skin problems, burns, sunburns, skin disorders, skin cuts, and abrasions. Castor oil has also been used to draw out styes in the eye by pouring a small amount into the eye and allowing it to circulate around the inside of the eyelid. Note that most bottles of castor oil indicate the oil is to be kept away from the eyes. The oil is also used as a rub or pack for various ailments, including abdominal complaints, headaches, muscle pains, inflammatory conditions, skin eruptions, lesions, and sinusitis. A castor oil pack is made by soaking a piece of flannel in castor oil, then putting it on the area of complaint and placing a heat source, such as a hot water bottle, on top of it. This remedy was often suggested by the American psychic Edgar Cayce, given in many healing readings in the early mid-1900s. Castor oil has also been noted for its acne-healing abilities.[32]
Castor oil has been used to induce childbirth in pregnant women, though it is not always effective in application. Castor oil, when ingested, triggers cramping in the bowel (making it an effective laxative). Thus, it is intended that such cramping extend to the uterus. In an overdue pregnancy in which the mother's cervix is already effacing and partially dilated, this cramping can lead to labor contractions. The irregular, painful contractions of castor-oil-induced labor can be stressful on the mother and fetus.[citation needed] It also leaves the laboring woman quite dehydrated as a result of the vomiting and diarrhea which result when the recommended dose of castor oil for labor induction is taken—2 oz, or about 8 tbsp. This leaves her without access to the energy she could otherwise derive from food or drink throughout her labor process. Using castor oil for induction is not recommended without consulting a medical practitioner and is not recommended in a complex pregnancy

so exciting! my wife is 5 months and a week.
cindy, i hope this isnt taken as an inappropriate question but how much weight have you gained? my wife has put on 11 pounds so far and the doctor said 20 to 24 should be the max for her size. where were you at 5 months?

No thats okay, I had exactly gained 11 lbs by month 5 too! lol.
She probably wont gain anything in month 9 unless its just swelling even though her belly will be stretching so she only has three more months of weight gain left.
She is exactly on target plus or minus a couple lbs not counting any water weight she might gain at the end
Did her doctor freak out over that? because if so, he is a total dick!

no. she actually lost 1 pound between visits and he was cool. he said all the bloodwork and ultrasounds were great. the baby was starting to move. he said she will begin to gain weight now regardless of her diet and she is fine with the low weight gain. she was light to start with. at 100 pounds, if she gains 20, thats 20% body mass increase. its alot. so shes really trying to stay as fit as possible for her health as well.
thats so cool youre due soon. its gonna be crazy. were really excited. im sure you are too. bad time to be that far along pregnancy wise with the hot weather. how are you dealing with that?

It sucks! Im so puffy because the hotter it gets the more water I retain. Its not pretty. I swim a lot and that actually seems to help. Im really excited other than that - I just had my baby shower...so Im working on getting the baby's room together and that is so much fun!
Are you guys not going to find out if your little one is a boy or a girl?
we find out monday. really excited so we can start calling he/she their name. my friends wife is having her shower this weekend and is 6 weeks out. she is miserable. her and my wife dont like being pregnant. some women love it. not these 2. are you a fan? setting up the babies room is fun. we have some of the furniture purchased. a few more things and we are set.
Oh no. Im definately not a "breeder". I hate being pregnant. Every second of it.
