I think it´s redicilous to have a smoking or non smoking area in restaurants. I can smell it either way. It´s like having a peeing zone in a swimmingpool.

both my parents have always been smoking. so all thru my younger years i was inhaling this shit they smoked. and i hate them for it. secondary smoking kills. stupid -----. im not saying everybody is like this, some are considerate. but i think Norway are the country with the strongest laws against smoking (so ive read). there is a law up for motion now, that its not gonna be legal to smoke in ANY restaurants or bars or anything. No smoking section and non-smoking section. Every place is going to be a non-smoking place. kicks ass if you ask me.

I was in a similar situation with my father......he always smoked when I was a kid.....even when he found out that it triggered my asthma. Alot of the time, he would just spark up for just long enough to fill the room with smoke and then put the f**ker out. After several near fatal asthma attacks (even had the docs wondering how I survived :) ), I would refuse to stay in the same room as him when he was smoking......and he couldn't figure out why!!!

This is the same guy who wouldn't call a doc out on Xmas eve, when I had my first attack, because he thought it was wrong to disturb the guys Xmas. I reckon if I saw a kid going blue because he couldn't suck in any air I'd call a doc. Mebbe I'm just soft though......

I don't mind people smoking........but when it interferes with my health it becomes an issue.

Uh... I hope your kidding. That´s horrible.

I don't agree with the idea of smoking, yet if someone is concious enough to workout I think it helps a little.

Newer studies have reported that specific anti-oxidant cocktails (which most bb'ers likely get through MV/MM supplementation) can reduce the damage of smoking by about 70 percent. Of course, that's still 30 percent damage remaining.

I think if you decide to smoke, that you should migrate towards a "natural" cigarette (like Winston Lights) without the additives.

I smoked a pack-and-a-half a day for about 5 years up until '95; I then quit cold turkey for about 5 years; then I went through a bunch of shit and started sparking up again -- only at 1 to 2 cigarettes per day. Never in the house, never around my kids. If I smoked at work, I'd hide around the corner of the building so that nobody would see me and give me shit... Not because I was afraid of what they'd think of me, I just didn't want to deal with it...

To this day, I wonder how harmful 1 or 2 cigs a day is -- I would speculate not too bad, but have no clue.

I did stop cold turkey again, as I refuse to pass that on to my children (who have never seen me smoke). I don't want them to think it's normal or OK. It's a bad habit, but in moderation, it maybe is better than prozac...lol...

Although calming at times, I always did treat it as a non-social, only smoke when you are alone and not in a place where it will bother people habit. (because as a non-smoker, I'd learned how fucking repulsive that habit is to people that don't smoke)

Anyways, I'm all for no smoking in restruants, bars, etc... I loved it when I was in LA and nobody smoked...

There are MILES of medical proof, tests and journals that conclude that smoking causes cancer, disease, sickness and many other problems in life.

Some people people will NEVER get this message until they start making all cigarettes in only daisy pink. Then they'll stop.

Nav.. so there are miles of proof that roids causes heart problems and loads of other problems. What the hell are you trying to say?

This board is all about drug use, everyone knows that using steroids is not healthy, yet we do it.

Who ever said smoking was anything but bad? He asked if anyone else smokes not for a stupic comment that everyone already knows.

I smoke.

I wish it would affect my endurance, would help me to quit!

I see many MANY people at my gym who light up once they get outside. But here in NYC alot of people smoke. In fact, most people I know smoke.
