Cigarettes and training.......

Yeah a figured that. I'm not really worried bout it though. If I can quit smoking, then I can definitely adjust any metabolic changes that I may encounter in the process. Let me rephrase that.....WHEN (not if) I QUIT SMOKING , I can definitely adjust to the metabolic changes that I may encounter!
 
i quit almost 2 years ago after smoking a pack a day for 12.5 years... cold frickin turkey.
drank tonns of water and that helped. smoked alot of weed because whenever i wanted a smoke i would go smoke a bit of weed (smoked a bit of a joint like a smoke) and that would fullfill my physical craving + make my lungs feel hurt so i wouldnt even consider having a smoke afterwards.. (not saying "go smoke weed" just saying what i did)...
another thing that helped that was recommended to me by a doctor to help with the mental side was 5-HTP and L-Tyrosine... I took them both and quit so I cant say they did'nt help.

I know alot of guys who have done steroids and smoke regularily... worked for them, maybe not as good as it could have, but never the less, they made gains... NO, smoking and sports dont go together, but i think it is safe to say that most of us started smoking long before we started body building (i started when i was 12, started training seriously when i was 17 or 18).. you just have to eventually smarten up and quit.
 
DUDE STOP THAT NASTY HABIT!! My old training partner used to smoke one right after we left the gym--god did he ever piss me off! Look you dont need a report to know that drawing smoke in your lungs is bad--THATS WHY WE COUGH!!

Smoking, however muched I loved it was the best thing I ever quit. Well, maybe Debby was... anyway: quit. You will love being a non smoker.

I don't have an addictive physiology, or to say that so it makes sence: no cravings. Just through out the pack and moved on. I do smoke if I get hammered. Which happens about 3 or 4 times a year if that, drunks are boring too, unless thats the only path to getting laid... but I digress. Know any cancer survivors? Emphasima tank suckers? Probably not, or you wouldn't be asking this question.
 
Here's an update folks.....
I have quit smoking and have not had a cigarette in 1 week! I went on the patch and luckily my cravings have been very few. Infact, the only time I feel I "need" a cigarette is after lunch and that lasts about 1 minute. I just focus on something else....like how good I feel! :-) I'm going to be on the patch for a couple of weeks and if it keeps going as good as it has, then I will get off the patch. I'm doing a lot better (mentally and physically) than I thought I would be doing. My will-power is very strong. Anyway, I very happy I finally did it!

Good for you! Now NOTHING has power over you except you. You can probably smell it on others already. Kind of gross really.
 
Thanks bro. Yeah it's actually kinda funny...a couple of days later I can really smell it on people and it smells like shit. It's amazing how a person becomes numb to the smell when they are smokers themselves. Now, I'm starting to tell even from my clothes when I'm around other smokers.

Wait till you come out of a bar...even if you've only been in for 5 minutes.
