well pride was better but it depends on what your defintion of better is. they did have more technical fighters but most american just like to see fighters slug it out like bar fights. ufc had the brawls. The problem im seeing now is over seas they didnt test for AAS like they do here. I can see the stamina and grit is not there. something a little test and EQ would do for ya.

hey we can agree that we like more realistic fights like the original UFC however that can be boring sometimes
take the sherk florian fight
if it had been old ufc rules the outcome would have been very different
either florian loses by technical napping after 90 mins of sherk holding him down and not trying to submit or finish
or sherk loses by passout due to blood loss due to that cut on his head
either way YAWN!!!

I don't think chuck should hang it up. He is a good fighter but just needs to do a little more work. He got some good left in him. He said it himself. Why change what he was doing unless he gets beat, then he needs to change something. I think he just just got comfortable on that throne and stopped learning.
