Chrome or black Olympic bar preference?

This is the best online site I've found yet selling quality Olympic bars.

I am now forced to make a crucial decision effecting the entire atmosphere of my home gym. What color bar to get? I've already decided on the 1500lb 32mm thick bar. I like the black oxide bars becasue the chrome (zinc?) plated bars always feel too slipery in my hands so I'm leaning towards the black one because I won't have the luxury of the staff vacuming up my chalk mess.

So which do you like more? If your gym has both types which one do you find yourself using and why?

Black, for sure.

I feel like I can get a much better grip.

depends on what color your mats are... black bars + black mats = a tripping accident waiting to happen.

Good point but I don't leave the bars on the ground.

Black it is. I just placed my order.

Now to get my deadlift to the point where I can recoup my investment on the 1500lb bar over the 700lb bar. (anyone know a good deadlift routine that will put 200lbs on my deadlift?).

my gym has the black ones, not sure of the brand though. Awesome for grip, but they leave my shins bleeding freely after every deadlift workout
