Christmas in Canada

KW is nice. Traffic sucks. Don't know about clubs, don't drink much. Lots of greenspaces, biking trails. Traffic sucks, Cambridge is a friggin mess, Guelph is nice, traffic sucks.
Did I mention the traffic? Mass transit sucks, yet the city planners can't get their heads outa their asses when it comes to high speed thoroughfares.
It seems that alot of towns have the same problem. I lived in Whitby for two years. NEVER AGAIN! 3+ hour commute when the snow falls! :worried:

niag. falls rawks. plus u can shop in the us whenever u want. windsor is cool too.
Dude Windsor is a shit hole IMO. The falls ain't bad but god how I love Toronto.

Midtown rules!!! Beltline running trail, 3 (soon 4) gyms within a few blocks, close to downtown but doesn't feel like part of it. Yonge & Eg area has a lot of nice little shops.

But TO as a whole has a TON of greenspace; I was on the 56 floor of a building recently in the middle of downtown and all ya see is trees everywhere. Very cool.

High Park sounds the best to me so far. Since there is snow on the ground much of the year, the commute is what concerns me the most.

I knew a guy who lived in Barrie and worked in TO. Don't know how he managed, he must have been driving 2 hrs some days. I don't see how you can have a successful career if you can't even get to work on time.

I also know a guy in Barrie who works in TO. He does get to work one time. I don't know how much he sleeps though. :)

If I had the cash, I'd move to the Yonge / Eglington area. Nice houses. Nice schools. All the necessary stuff is close by.

If there was a high-speed train coming out of Barrie that would be cool because my wife's family is from North Bay and we'd be closer to them. Do you know how far out of TO the metro goes?

I'm sure you can buy a lot more real estate for your dollar in Barrie.

TTC doesn't go that far, but you can always check the GO Transit. I still wouldn't move out there given my previous experiences with GO.

Do the buses run late? Or is the company bad? My limited experience on TO metro and buses is that it is much nicer than Washington DC, at least.
