Christmas Gift?

Right - although I am engaged, I haven't officially announced it to my babe's parents. I also did not get a ring as at the time we got engaged, I was forced not to by my babe..

Anyway, is it bad to get a ring for her and give it to her as a Christmas present which she will open in front of her parents this Christmas?

I know this will make her so so happy but will her parents think I am cheap for buying an engagement ring as a Christmas present?

Or should I buy the ring and another present to make myself not look cheap?

I remmy as a kid my parents always tellin me how expensive Christmas was and now I see how bad it is

good question. i dont know the right answer. im guessing that you should likely get her something else (small) in addition to the ring. but Im not one to be giving advice on these matter lol

Are you kidding me? Her parents will probably love the fact you're giving her the ring in front of them on Christmas - make it like a present for them!

So I will get a ring and leave it at that - it isn't cheap that's for sure!

So now it's just my family and her family and my friends...

Christmas is such a corporate / commercial event nowadays
