China has 25 nuclear warheads assembled on continental missiles that are capable of hitting US.

The balance of power thing mainly has to do with RUSSIA and US. Not afganistan. A coalition with them and the US would really shoot Chinas power down the tubes.

the russians are staying calm cause they have to root out the chechnians themselves.When they are done with Chechnia we will see a different approach from Russia .

North Korea(extensive nuclear program/missile technology/ cooperation with China and Iran ,has a decent army/navy)

might include Iraq and Cuba but they are way too weak.
chinese have always had their own alliance doctrine.they hate the Russians and they are not good friends with the indians either.

I think you all greatly underestimate china's navy......I saw an interview with a general who said that in 10-12 years our "current" navy will not be able to take on the chinese naval forces given their current rate of growth. Our surveillance plane that collided with the chinese fighter was there to spy on a new chinese submarine that was conducted it's first sea trial. Without an awesome submarine force the chinese cannot take Taiwan due to american subs in the area that would sink any troop transports that tried to cross the strait. In this situation however, I don't think China is going to get involved. They're moving troops to the afghani border because they don't want a flood of refugees flooding into the country, they can't feed their 1billion people as it is.
