Chin ups palms facing you?

Anyone do chin ups with palms facing you? I've never tried them before. Does anyone have experience with them?

I've always thought them to isolate the biceps so much and I thought they would be counterproductive to the "lat wing span".

Yea.. I feel them almost entirely in my biceps,
Doing them wide facing away I get a much nicer workout on my lats

I call those 'pull ups' but I guess that everyone else on Earth calls them chins...lol.

I don't like them...at all. Palms away are much more difficult and build a much better back...IMO.

I find they isolate biceps too, which I dont like. Palms forward close grip, and wide grip for lats are far better I find. Even though they are far more difficult.

Naahhh.....your not alone, I call em pull ups too and palms away are chins. I like chins better, but sometimes I put my small V handle over the bar and do em palms facing each other and pull my hands as far down into my abs and as close to my navel as possible. But when I do my barbell rows I prefer the palms up over the chin grip. Go figure.....

When I do pull-ups, I start with what I call chins. These are palms facing me, hands close together. Then I move on to the work set which is wide pull-up, palms out. Chins and wides.

I do both. Palms facing in and close grip(chins), and super wide palms facing out(pullups). Initially it was easier to do chins but once I hit a certain number, I can't seem to push through. On the other hand, the pullups increase all the time. Could be because the lats are larger and can give me more endurance compared to the biceps ? Or prolly cos of the shorter distance to travel up?
