Guys I hate to dl,squat,bench....why.....because theyre hard.The hard exercises are the ones that are gonna make me grow!I was thinking of doing a routine that involves just heavy ass compound movements and maybe a couple sets of very light assistance work.For example:Monday (upperbody) Benchpress 5x5,Hangcleans 5x5,Chins 3 sets to failure.Tuesday(lowerbody)Squats 5x5,Lunges with 135 on back to failure (1 set).
Now I need some advice for thursday and fridays workouts.ANy ideas here?
 
You might try searching the training forum for needsize's 5x5 routine. I'm on that now and I like it.
 
I'd put a few days in between thosew workouts for recovery if you're going to go real heavy. How about a 3-way split? Maybe do the upperbody Monday with one bi and one tri movement added in, lower body on Wednesday with leg presses and calf work, back/shoulders Friday...deads, bb rows, and military bb presses. Then do abs and cardio on Tue and Sat. This is just a rough idea off the top of my head...I'm sure it can be improved on. Basically just make sure you get big compound movements in...bench, squats, DEADS, weighted pull-ups or heavy pull-downs, and some heavy bb or db rows. Lift heavy, eat like it's your job, and get as much sleep as you can. I put on 15 lbs when I started making myself eat all day long.
