its a sweet ass 1986 Toyota 4X4, the best condidtion Ive ever seen for a vehicle 20 years old. Paid $3400. Its got spray on bedliner, aftermarket rims, 22RE injected 4cyl., cd, ac, ps, keyless black widow alarm, tires about %50, lifted and extra leaf spring (?), new paint, absolutely no rust, interior and motor look close to new but the cable broke for the odometer some time ago and the guy doesnt know how many miles are on the truck, except that it reads 54k, so it could be 154, 254k, who knows but all I know is I drove it for a good half hour at all speeds and this truck is absolutely solid, no leaks or pings and tranny is smooth.
Paid $3400
Heres what the guy improved/replace:
radiator, valve seals, connecting rod bearings, timing chain, brake master, clutch master, rebuilt idler arm, after market air filter, free flow exhaust, new rims, adjusted tappets, and also the front and rear brake were redone 1 year ago.

pretty truck:)
you can go mudding with that one

Its a nice truck, I've always wanted a late 80s truck with a nice lift kit but I don't want to own a 20 year old vehicle. You'd better get a AAA membership just in case something happens.

Nice..

I had a Red 1985 SR5 4x4 much like that .. I miss it :(
Damn thing went almost anywhere off road, even with stock susp and small tires.

Wasn't 1985 the last year they had solid front and rear axle suspensions before they went to the Independent in the front ? Mine rode like a tank

It doesn't look that way in this picture.

Great Condition
Great Truck
Great Year
Great buy

Enjoy bro - that will last you another 300K miles at least

correction, its actually an 1988, guess I lost track with all the models ive been scoping out but who cares. Took it to get a compression test at a jap auto shop and it reads 175, which is totally badass according to the shop owner. He doesnt anticipate any problems for a long time.

that's awesome dave, quality machine
rips through the mud good too, a lot of peeps i know have 'yotoas for climbing/boggin

llol south peeps are lucky with clean vehicles, if that truck spent 20 yrs in michigan that truck would be ragged and rusted
winter wrecks cars

lmao me neither.

but I did notice he mentioned what he paid TWICE in his first post, which makes me think he's nervous on some level :)

good luck

Not a bad deal for 3.5K!

I has an 87 Mazda 4x4 jacked like that - the condition of it sucked though, yours looks sweet. The damn thing drank gas though. $$$
