I do man. It's so stupidly expensive here it's not even funny. I live in a very nice part of CT but it's not the uber-expensive areas like Greenich or Fairfield county.

It's funny. Houses that were $150K 5-6 years ago can go for $400K easy.

900 sq. foot condos go for 200K around here.

Ridiculous.

Damn I wish a 900 sq. ft. condo would go for 200k in my area cause right now for that price you can get at best a miserable 600 sq. ft shithole...

RE is having a fire sale right now. Prices dropping monthly, weekly... If you look enough, you'll see what you want, where you want it, and at the price you want it.

I hate that, because i want to sell my house but want to "wait it out" a little first. lol @ waiting 10 years...

I realize you could buy a mansion in a lot of states for 250k, but those states fucken suck. If I got offered a job making twice what I make in Texas I wouldnt go there. I hate texas.

I'm going to get my MBA in a few years anyway, I'll be moving back to San diego eventually.

I've never been to AZ and only visited CA once for a weekend LOL. Believe me when I tell you that TX is waaaaaaaaaaaaay better than NJ!

Yeah man, I interviewed for a design position in San Jose, Ca with them. I hate interviewing their HR lady, she sucks. Stryker Endoscopy I believe

New construction is what's eating the most shit. There are builders here that are giving $20-40K in upgrades and incentives just to move the homes.

Yes, we're getting that here too. They give the upgrades but that keeps the prices higher. They don't want to lower prices too much as they still need a minimum to make a profit. I like that idea because it keeps prices high(er).

I swear, these days people expect you to GIVE your house away. Sure it's a slow/bad market, but houses are still worth SOMETHING. Don't low ball me damnit!

Actually a new report was issued this morning, topping each of the daily reports that have been released each morning for the past 6 months about how each day the real estate market is the worst it has ever been in history, worse than the day before. Real Estate and homes are actually projected to be worth nothing by June '08. There will actually no longer be a value to shelter or land. Amazing, but true.
