Cheapest Canadian protein supplier?

I've been looking for a cheap Canadian retailer (store or online) of protein to avoid paying brokerage/ontario sales tax on imported protein.

Any suggestions?

I just did some quick calculations to see who is the cheapest.
Prolab whey concentrate OR canadianwhey.com.

1) canadianwhey.com .....10lb/4.5kg = $74.99/204 servings = 36cents/serving. each serving is 17g protien.
This boils down to 0.02cents/gram of protien

2) prolab's Whey..............5lb/2.25kg=$39.99/70 servings =
57cents/serving. Each serving is 22g protien.
this boils down to 0.025cents/gram of protien.

And the winner ....................Nobody. They're almost exactly the same price per gram of protein. Damn....I thought canadianwhey.com would be alot cheaper because they don't use any flavors or sweetner. They don't even have a flash label or any marketing budget!!!!!

Come to think of it........I guess prolab's whey is the winner, because you at least get a flavored protein sweetened with Acusulfame Potassium.

I hope I did all the calculations correctly. Somebody please correct me if I am wrong. I hope every canadian on this board sees this.

Hope this helps anybody like me on a supplement budget.

I am not going to go over your calculations, but Canadian WHey is the better buy and I will tell you why.

1st off, you should do the math on the isolates. Nobody really uses a concentrate anymore, and if so they should save up the money and get an isolate. It has a much higher BV than a concentrate. The BIological Value (BV) is a scale of measurement used to determine what percentage of a given nutrient source is utilized by the body.

Whey Protein Isolate - 159
Whey Protein Concentrate - 104

There are only 2 proteins that really deliver, Whey Isolate and Micellular Casien. Canadian WHey's Isolate can not be matched. Free shipping too.

2nd, the reason why you are getting more protien with Canadian whey, is because IT IS UNFLAVOURED. By weight you are getting more protien from unflavoured protien than flavoured protien. Do you really want to be paying protein prices for sugar or sweetner? Do you know how cheap sugar is? A 5lb bag of dextrose from a Wine Kitz store is $4.00. They may be very similar in price, but with the prolab you are paying for sweetner too where with Canadian whey all the weight is pure protien.

THe same thing goes for people who get sucked into these fancy creatine mixes like cell-tech etc.. They are damn expensive and the majority of those tubs are sugar. Its much cheaper to buy a a tub of micronized creatine and but your own dextrose and ala. There you have it, a homeade Cell=tech for 1/3 the cost and just the same if not better quality. So many people are sold on the advertising gimics and fancy labelling etc... which is why these companies do so well.

My vote goes to Canadianwhey. Pure bulk whey isolate with no flavour. This is good to because it really dosent taste bad and yu can do what you want with it, cook with it, flavour it anyway you want. I usually use crystal light or some dextrose and kool-aid.

excellent point!

My calculations were done with the Whey Concentrate. I understand bioavailability and all that crap. I guess the bottom line for me, is that i just don't notice an improvment in my physique when I use Isolate.

I used isolate entirley for my last competetion and i just didn't notice a damn thing except in wallet.
