I actually tried the spiro cream with a d-bol cycle i had to stop the d-bol after 4 days, thats how bad it was, spiro cream didn't do shit. It depends on the individual, some might be more prone to hairloss than others.
$40 for 4 oz is way overpriced. Better to simply make your own. You've got several options. Realgains posted his formula here:

Using dermovan and spiro tabs bought online, the price is around 1/10 of that you mentioned.
An alternative would be to simply add spiro tabs to minoxidil and apply it twice daily. The important thing to remember here is that this combination will cause the solution to become unstable, so the bottle must be refridgerated or it will produce an unbearable smell.
Also, don't wait until your cycle to begin using spiro. It takes a while -- I've heard as long as three months -- for it to begin effecting the dht in your scalp. I think that's why some people are unsatisfied with sprio; they haven't used it long enough before piling on the dht.
