Cheap Laptop / Desktop Computer

I need to buy a laptop or desktop for light home use - email, web surfing, word docs, etc and don't have or want to spend a ton of $$$. Refurbished are okay with me. Anyone have any good discount PC suppliers? Anyone have any advice regarding buying off ebay? Never bought a computer off ebay...

Most larger cities have local refurbished PC retailers so that you can
see what you are buying before you buy.. Yellow pages..

I have an HP ze4500 with Best Buy extended warranty through '07 that I'm about to put up on e-bay. It just came back from service and has a new mother board, battery and processor.
