cheap bloodwork?

My doctor won't give me a blood test, says I had one 5 years ago and it was good and he doesn't see any reason to give me another one (I'm 30). I suppose I could have mentioned a few symptoms of hypogonadism, but I'm a bad liar. Even if I did get one, they don't give you the numerical numbers, they have a policy its only for doctors eyes, I'm sure if I tested at 401ng/dL of test, they'd say I was perfect.

Anyways, is there a website or company that does blood tests? I've seen some online but they were expensive, and there's one loophole posted on another site where you use a female panel for $50 but they don't have any labs in my state. TIA!

yeah just go online and google one. health tests direct is who i use. buy the test.. print it. then take it in to quest. its very simple.

also fire ur doc, he is an idiot.. blood tests should be yearly. a lot can happen in a year

That health tests direct doesn't have any labs in my state either. I don't want to say where I'm from but we have more cows than people, probably can guess from that.

Anyone ever do the blood spot from zrt? I was hoping to find cheaper than $190 for " E2, T, SHBG, PSA, DS, C"

Your doc is a quack. You are just as much in control of your care as he is. Five years and no bloods! You are 30, you need to start watching your cholesterol, triglycerides, thyroid function, etc. As far as test goes tell him your wee wee ain't workin. Also, you should get a physical every year and you can get whatever bloods you want done at that time (I think).

But really, you control your health. Call your insurance and see what they allow and how often. I cannot stand docs that think they have the final say over your health. It is your body, your well-being. Tell him exactly why you are going to a new doc.

He is probably the type of doc that would prescribe Oxy if you told him you stubbed your big toe. F'ing pharm pushing, dope dealers that are run by the pharmaceuticals.

Yeah they're strange around here. Not sure if its state law or hospital policy but they just won't let you see anything. I had a cat scan 5-10 years ago and the doc would not let me look at it. Same thing with my numbers from the bloods. He just said, "there were no issues, you're right in line with where you should be."

I agree 100%, it seems like the docs (at least in the one large medical facility in the area) think people have to be shielded from the raw data and the doc will interpret and tell the patient what medicine to take. Any time I've tried to have an intellectual discussion with them about whatever I was in there for, I was pretty much patted on the shoulder and said "its great you're interested in your health. keep up the good work"

I guess I said it in another post (where the 19yr old was killed by a smith machine) so doesn't really matter, I'm from vermont, and there's two medical centers within driving distance and one has a terrible reputation and the other is the one I'm dealing with now. NY doesn't allow a patient to go in and get a lab test, and new hampshire is a 6 hour round trip drive. And many of the online lab test sites use LabCorp, which doesn't have a lab here. So I guess its a little doctor shopping for an decent independent.

I know a place that does saliva testing cheap and discreet.

I know this is not giving you the answer you are looking for, but I am hung up on the doc not giving you your info. So this info is legally yours as is your whole medical record/history. You may have to fill out some release type paperwork, but this is your info and they have to give it to you.

Call med records at your medical facility and request it be released to you.

Also, get a physical and request your test levels. Tell the doc you are not getting full erections and you feel a little lethargic and you feel as though you are not recovery from your fun activities ie: basketball, lifting, etc. *Be careful not to give symptoms of depression. for example say: you feel lethargic, but you still love to do your favorite activities you just feel crushed physically after and it takes longer than normal to fully recover. Your not getting full erections, but you are still hot for your girl, etc

This should do the trick. Be sure to take control and sound well educated on the matter. Ask for a full test panel as if you don't they are likely to only give you total serum.

Age may play a factor in how he is reacting to you. How old are you?
