cheap bloodwork?

I know this is not giving you the answer you are looking for, but I am hung up on the doc not giving you your info. So this info is legally yours as is your whole medical record/history. You may have to fill out some release type paperwork, but this is your info and they have to give it to you.

Call med records at your medical facility and request it be released to you.

Also, get a physical and request your test levels. Tell the doc you are not getting full erections and you feel a little lethargic and you feel as though you are not recovery from your fun activities ie: basketball, lifting, etc. *Be careful not to give symptoms of depression. for example say: you feel lethargic, but you still love to do your favorite activities you just feel crushed physically after and it takes longer than normal to fully recover. Your not getting full erections, but you are still hot for your girl, etc

This should do the trick. Be sure to take control and sound well educated on the matter. Ask for a full test panel as if you don't they are likely to only give you total serum.

Age may play a factor in how he is reacting to you. How old are you?

30 years. The nurse that I first spoke to was very understanding and said "What i'll do is schedule you for a blood test and a later appointment to discuss the results with the Dr." Then when I called back to pre-register, she said she spoke to the Dr and he said he looked at my results from 2003 and blood test was completely unnecessary. I told them that I felt ok but my family had a history of thyroid problems (my mother's on synthroid) and now that I'm 30 I thought it was time to get checked out. Probably my fault here, should have said what you said. But I'm a terrible liar and I just can't remember the story to tell when the time comes even tho I rehearse it in my head. I'd rather pay a little extra and not con my way into a free test just because I don't feel comfortable saying things just to get a free test. I'll probably do one of those blood spot tests needto recommended. There's a bunch of different websites that use ZRT's kit, I'll google and find the cheapest one.

As far as getting my records, here's what I found on their website, which pretty much echo's what the Dr said.

From the office's website:

How do I get my laboratory test results?
For your security, the ******** Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine does not currently release test results to patients. You must contact your physician for laboratory test results. If you have questions about lab testing, please contact ************ by email, or by phone at xxx-xxxx

They are actually breaking the law. HIPAA requires that they allow you access to your records upon request.

I am not saying lie to your doc. If you are not comfortable saying that stuff, that is fine. The main point here is they are denying you legitimate blood work. You are now in your 30's and you should be getting bloods done yearly. I get it twice a year, covered and I get a printout of my results.

I would report these quacks as they are shady at best.

Aside from this, yes there are many online blood tests. You can even draw your own and mail it in. Tons of options. I am just hung up on the injustice here and it has to do with your health-they are just crazy.

then drive to another state. or get a real doctor that will actually listen to you and not blow you off
Gotta agree with Steve on this one. Why the hell should your Dr care when your last blood test was taken? It's not like he's paying for it. Every Dr I have ever been to has never had a problem ordering a full blood panel for me.
