cell phone jammers

They work, yes, but they are highly illegal in the US. It is illegal to sell in the US, and it is illegal for a US Citizen to purchase one from overseas. $11,000 fine.

from what I see, the handheld ones don't have much of a range to them. about 10-30 meters tops.

they're easy to build if you have the know how. And you're not going to get that much range out of a handheld one cause of the power source. But yeah, it's possible if someone died cause they couldn't call out to 911, you could be charged with the death or the serious injury of that person.

How can you build one? I don't want much range. But I do expect to be able to block out all of A1A when I am laying on the beach.

offcourse they work. What do you think the government uses?

you might be able to build one based off a car battery, not sure though. Find some tech geek at best buy or some place like that.......offer him some cash and foot the parts cost and I'm sure he can rig it up. You should be able to find the general idea of how it's done on the internet.

to enjoy my movie experience in peace and quiet.

Well my mate had this thing called superbluetooth, in which if someone was in your added devices then you could get onto their phone and for example call the police, change the date, anything u wanted without the knowing, then i found on the internet a hackers version in which you can change the se up of the key pad so for example the '1' key would be the shut down key so whenever they pressed '1' the phone would turn off, normal bluetooth range...

and for the slow ass oriental women at redlights that set there yapping for 2 mins while the light is green.

I'm a frequency manager, here is the deal. All a jammer is basically doing is causing interference. It is easy to cause interference if you know the frequency that you are on. The problem here is as easy as it is to cause interference it is easier to detect where that interference is coming from. The FCC doesn't mess around and gets great support from the legal system, you will get popped blocking the range of frequencies for cell phones.

Cellular frequency range in the US is a high dollar spectrum and used for other devices also, they will protect their investments accordingly. A jammer doesn't work like a radar jammer in that sense, you are effecting everyone in that cell band.

As for the comments about controlling and manipulating phones, you wouldn't believe how easy that is. Basically a cell phone is a personal tracking computer the second you turn it on, and yes the govt controls the airwaves.

If you make a CB radio powerfull enough you can mess with people near you. watched it happen. A buddy has a CB in his truck that can send a signal 50 miles easy, if someone is on their phone if he keys up his radio you can watch them look at thier phone and re-dial....

But that wouldn't be practicle on the beach. I'd use one in a movie theatre as well
