heather, just talk to him. I talk to my kids with respect and they show it back.

maybe he is mad that you're even there- thats a bigger issue.

He actually loves having me here. He is a Sr. in H.S. and I am more of an advocate for him with his dad than anyone has ever been for him. His dad is tough on him, in my opinion. He digs me. We like the same music, etc and I cook for him and his girlfriend. So, I think our relationship is pretty good. =-)

then there's no need to resort to threats. just say "hey, can you do me a favor? if you see my clothes in the washer or dryer, can you just put em in a basket instead of the floor? I don't always get to them as fast as I should. thanks, i appreciate it."

my experience is, if you talk to him like an adult, he'll act like one.
