Cardio Switch Up

Often when doing cardio on my extended days (40 minutes) I like to switch machines half way through. I have bad knees and the eliptical machines sometime take a toll on me. I will find myself switching to the bike for the last 20 minutes. I do this quickly, meaning I get off of one machine and hop on the other right away.

Do you think this could have a negative impact on my cardio workouts?
