Cardio Question

I heard I may lose muscle if I do cardio... I cant really run due to knee issues, but an elliptical or bike is good.

How much cardio can I do and what is suggested to use for equipment.

I'm not really trying for mass gains. I'm looking for more of a cut look.
 
The right diet and cardio go hand in hand when trying to cut. You want to be in a daily caloric defecit of 300-500 under maintenance and do 30-45 minutes of moderate intensity cardio 3-4 times per week. Elliptical is good. Just keep the intensity moderate and BCAAs before and after training will help to keep catobolism (muscle breakdown) from happening
