Cardio Question!

Hey gang....I am doing my cardio 6 days a week immediately following my workout. I had been doing bike work for 30 minutes then switched to running on the treadmill for about 20 minutes. Obviously the running burns more cals. I recently tried something someone mentioned on this board, walking for 2 min at 3.5 mph then running for 7.2 mph for a min then start over. Went for 30 min today, no probs. Which is better, running for 20 min or so straight or doing the mix for 30-35 minutes? My diet is super clean. I am not a bodybuilder, just an athlete trying to drop about 30 lbs or so. Currently I am 6'1, 220 lbs and am on day 45 of a 100 day diet, real good results so far. I do not take any days off from the diet, solid all the way through. Any advice?
