Cardio question

cardio-- doesnt matter if its street walking or running-- you gotta work at 60-90% of your target heart rate...for instance--

take your age-220 (beats per minute)=maximum heart rate...than calculate 60% (low end) and 90% (High)... you want to be somewhere in the middle.
 
I don't think power walking on the streets are as good as walking on a treadmill or on a track because of all the interruptions, like stoplights, dogs, and traffic. Unless you do some circuit training on the way, like calisthenics or whatever, when you have to stop, of course, to keep your heart rate up.
